Learning About Travel Through Other’s Experiences (Favorite Travel Blogs)

As part of my research for our trip I have enjoyed reading many travel blogs and have discovered that they are so different from each other. Some are just straight up informative no fluff, no story just information about how to prepare to go, how to go, where to go and how to adjust when you come back. Others tell a story about the writer and the places they travel. These blogs are great for dreaming about the places we want to go and adding them to our list. And still others also tell a story about travel experiences but are so personal that I feel like I know the person. Some of the things they post are very personal and I wonder how can they reveal some much of themselves to a world full of readers. I like all of the different types of posts and for the ones that have that personal side I find myself drawn to read them and will find myself thinking, “I wonder where so and so is traveling this week”.

I am a fairly private person so I expect as my blog grows it will probably be that middle of the road type where I hope you will get to know my husband Michael and I through the stories about the places we go and the people we meet.

Here are some of the blogs that I enjoy the most. I am not going to categorize them based on my descriptions above….let’s see if you can guess where they fall.
